Marc closed his first Merger & Acquisition transaction in 1970 and went on to form his own firm in 1971. Marc and his partners have completed over 70 mid-market M&A transactions primarily working with private, entrepreneur driven companies. In 1998 he founded Berman Capital, LLC.
Marc has served as an officer, director and shareholder of Erie Manufacturing, California Pretzel, Granny Goose Foods, Honeycomb Structural Products, Pentron Industries, and Rotonics Manufacturing.
Marc has a B.A. in Accounting and Finance from Michigan State University and served on active military duty from 1968-70. Marc holds the Series 7, 24, 63 and 79 security licenses.
Casey joined Berman Capital after serving as Vice President of Operations and In-House Counsel at Workshare, a document comparison, collaboration and security software company. He previously served as Business Development Associate and Legal Affairs Manager for I-Impact, an Israeli data-warehousing and predictive analytics start-up. Prior to that, Casey was a law clerk at the Contra Costa Public Defender's Office.
Casey was the Chief Communications Officer for FileRight.com strategy for the boutique market research consultancy Schireson Associates. He currently provides strategy and research advisory work for the Fortune 500 clients for the global consulting firm Slalom.
Casey holds a BA in Rhetoric from the University of California at Berkeley and a JD from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He is licensed by the State Bar of California and holds the Series 7, 63 and 79 security licenses.
